I’m here as a coach to help you do a hard thing you’re pretty sure (on most days) you can do, but need some accountability, focused planning time and project managing to actually get that shit done. Yes, I said shit. On my professional website. It’s the only word that works.

What to expect when I’m your coach - I will:

 

Turn everything else off and just listen.

You probably already have all the best ideas for your life - my job is to create the space for you to share them in whatever way comes naturally to you. I also have some pretty good ideas! I’m an expert at focused listening that helps you tease out what’s really important from all of the other noise we fill our minds with.

Help you turn your dream into a plan.

Being inspired by a dream is one thing, knowing what to do with all of your exciting ideas is another. Where do you start? I will help you crystallize your ideas into an actual plan that can be written down, spreadsheeted and live Tweeted. (Just kidding, sort of. It’s up to you if you Tweet.)

Turn your big plan into bite-sized chunks.

When a dream turns into a plan, it’s very easy to become overwhelmed by the “all” of it. That’s where we borrow from writer Anne Lamott and take it on, “bird by bird”. I will help you break down your overall goal into the list of smaller steps you can actually tackle over time.

 

Collaborate on creating a timeline.

All those bullet points are great…but the trick is fitting the time into your already busy life. We’ll break out the calendar and set realistic goals along the way. If you all of a sudden get swamped with your “real” work or a sick kiddo or are invited on a surprise trip to Hawaii, we’re not gonna sweat it. (Go to Hawaii, please!) But we’ll get right back on track.

Be your biggest cheerleader.

No pom poms, no cartwheels - just whole-hearted support for the courage and motivation it takes to wake up every morning and try something different. Once I’m invested, your success is my success. In my book, success is trying.

Hold you (gently) accountable.

Sadly, I’m not super scary - I’m actually pretty likeable. So I’m not going to shame and blame you when the going gets…not going. That said, I can be the cheerful nudge that reminds you what the next step is, why it’s important to you and problem-solve when it’s not going according to plan. Maybe we need to pivot? But I’ll have your back, while also passive aggressively sending you a million calendar notifications. (Just kidding.)
